Q: What kind of baby carrier should I use for these workouts? 

A: We recommend LILLEbaby Complete soft structured carriers due to their lightweight ergonomic design and lumbar support.

Q: What other equipment do I need? 

A: Although many of these movements can be done with no equipment, to get the greatest benefit the use of resistance bands and ankle weights is recommended. The program calls for resistance bands with handles, resistance loop band, and a 5 pound ankle weight. You can find these on Amazon or at your local sports store.

Q: How many weeks postpartum should I wait before starting an exercise program? 

A: Always consult your doctor before beginning any exercise program. This program is best to begin when baby is 6 months old or can sit unassisted. Although many of the movements are possible with a younger baby, even low intensity exercise is not recommended before baby has good head support. Also, in the first few months following birth it is important to focus on core strength and rehabilitation prior to starting a strength training program. Q: But I have a small house, will this still work? 

A: Yes! All you need is a space the size of a yoga mat.

Q: I would like to do this program with a class or mom’s group. Is that allowed? 

A: No. This program is designed for individual use. Public use is strictly prohibited by copywrite law. If you would like to purchase to use as part of a group fitness program please contact natasha@fitmamasb (dot) com  

Q: I have back and joint pain, can I still do this program? 

A: Yes, but listen to your body and only move within a pain-free range. If you are having difficulty completing the movements due to pain or limitations it is best to seek out a physical therapist in your area to determine the underlying cause.

Q: I have diastasic recti, can I still do this program? 

A: Yes. This program is designed with diastasic recti in mind, and includes core workouts that will help heal and rehabilitate your core muscles.

Q: I am nursing, is it okay to exercise? 

A: Yes! As long as you are maintaining adequate dietary and fluid intake it has been shown that exercise does not affect breastmilk quantity or quality.

Q: What if my baby does not like to be worn?

A: Baby’s happiness always comes first. Sometimes you may not complete your whole workout and that is okay. Try it again later in the day. You can also do these exercises while baby is playing nearby.

Q: But I don’t have a baby, can I still do these exercises?

A: Yes! All the movements can be done without a baby as well. This program is suitable for people of all ages and will help you build strength and lose weight at any stage in your life.
